Coromandel accommodation

At Leighton Lodge we offer you two accommodation choices:
Our Pacific Room upstairs offers one of the best views of Opito Bay and the Mercury Islands. It has an ensuite, a queen-size bed and a private balcony.
Our larger Seahorse Suite (suitable for a family of 4) is available either as B&B or as a self contained unit. It has it's own private entrance and offers a cosy kitchen/lounge, a bedroom with a queen bed + 2 singles in the living area. The unit has a bathroom with a shower and separate toilet. A highchair and a portable cot are available.
Dinners and picnic lunches are available by arrangement: Enjoy Maire's delicious variety of meals including fresh seafood (when available) and seasonal vegetables from her garden.
When you stay at Leighton Lodge the facilities available to you include:
BBQ, Sky and Freeview TV ,Limited free Broadband Internet access, laundry, outdoor decks, evening meals & lunches, babies cot.
The Seahorse Suite is fully self contained for independent catering with a double bench top hob, large refrigerator freezer, microwave oven, all crockery & utensils.
All linen is supplied.
Freeview TV and a DVD player provide your entertainment source for the Seahorse Suite should you tire of the beach and sun.
Opito Bay is the Paradise to escape to for your "Stay Home Vacation" requiring a Minimal Carbon Footprint.
During our peak season we have a "two night minimum stay" policy.

Coromandel Coastal Walkway, New Chums beach, Cathedral Cove and Hot Water beach are all within driving distance, taking you through beautiful scenery on the way.

Fitzroy bnb is located in easy walk to Coromandel Town. From here you have access to both the east and west coast beaches such as Long Bay, Shelly beach, Amodeo Bay, Fantail Bay, Port Jackson, Cape Colville, Fletcher Bay and the coastal walkway. A short drive to Whitianga gives you access to Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach.

Chartré Manor is located in Thames, the Hub of the Coromandel. It is in close proximity to the Pinnacles Great Walk, Raupara Watergardens, Cathedral Cove, Hot Water Beach, Driving Creek Railway and Hauraki Rail Trail. It is an ideal place to base yourself whilst exploring the Coromandel.

Thames is a historic town only 75 minutes from Auckland International Airport. We are 1.5hours from Auckland CBD, Hamilton, Rotorua and Tauranga. We have the friendliest of small town New Zealand and yet everything one would need just down the road.

Meet the locals at the Saturday morning market and have a bite to eat at one of our fabulous restaurants or cafes where service matters, whether you are a local or guest to our town.

This Private three bedroom bach is available for you and family to chill out, isolate or just re-group and appreciate some of the best scenery in NZ. Swimming, surfing, boogie boarding, hiking, biking, golfing, walking, wining, dining, supermarket is within walking distance as are numerous popular cafes and clubs. The property backs onto reserve close to the boat ramp and Marina.
There is free Wifi, TV, Netflix are all available. If required food supplies can be delivered to the door.
Alternatively if you don't want to leave the property, the Bach is fully self contained.
If you desire to venture further, Hot Water Beach and Cathedral Cove are a short drive from here.

The Rawhiti cottage, is set in the garden over looking the olive grove and out to sea. Its private and perfect for a romantic getaway or a family holiday. Rooms are bright, sunny and comfortable, both with their own bathrooms. There's basic kitchen facilities and a BBQ on the deck, for those that prefer to self cater. Treat yourself at Luke's Kitchen & Kua Kafe nearby for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A 3 hour bush walk starts from our door, with wonderful outlooks, unique wetland with rare birds and a large grove of young Kauri. An ideal base for exploring the Coromandel. Children welcome. Wairua Lodge began its life as a family home, was once an artist retreat and has now evolved into a stunning B&B. The lodge overlooks the rainforest and is more than your average B&B - here you can enjoy a soak in the Treetop Bathhouse or marvel at the stars in the outdoor Night-sky Spa Pool. There is lots to do in the area, for the more adventurous canyoning, paragliding, trekking , mountain biking, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing. For relaxation natural hot pools, or wandering around the gold mining relics or just sit in the sun on the deck and read a book,

Mercury Orchard is a place to relax, rejuvenate and just be. The private property of five acres combines country-style luxury accommodation with an organic mixed orchard and beautiful gardens set up to permaculture principals, old tall trees, countless flowers and birds.
Our guest are welcome to have a swim in our mineral salt water pool and interact with our friendly farm animals.

The Paua Bach is a studio style cottage with a king size and a sofabed. It is well suited for a romantic stay for a couple of a small family of three.
Special to Paua Bach is an old fashioned outdoor bath.

The cottage offers all you need for your holiday or special time away. It is fully self contained with a well equipped kitchenette with quality Swiss knifes, two bench top hot plates, microwave and BBQ on the private deck.

Complementary we provide beach towels as well as seasonal fresh fruit from the orchard, teas and coffee, olive oil and freshly ground salt and pepper.

We are happy to share our local knowledge and recommend places well off the beaten tourist track.

Stay close to Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach but away from the hustle and bustle.

Annabells B&B is a newly created business in Whitianga.
This wonderful accommodation with 2 suites is set amongst 2 hectares of sub tropical forest with views overlooking Mercury Bay on the stunning Coromandel Peninsula.
Rates include robes, luxe bathroom products and spa products to enjoy, teas and coffee available all day, Tv, private entries and balconies around our home to sit and enjoy the peacefulness and ocean views looking across the Shakespeare cliffs.

The Coromandel Peninsula is famous for its coastline, rolling hills, forest, tree ferns or Punga's as the NZ'ers call them. Annabells B&B is a short driving distance to Cathedral Cove, Hot Water Beach, the stunning deserted beaches of the Peninsula, the Ferry to Cooks Beach, the divine coastal town of Pauanui, the art galleries of Tairua and Whangamata and the history of Coromandel Town and Hahei.
Karangahake Gorge has dramatic rock formations and is a must for travellers to the Peninsula.

Kuaotunu is one of the hidden gems of the Coromandel and is a great place for relaxing, swimming, beach and bush walks, fishing, kayaking, and enjoying the beautiful white sand beaches in the area. The village store, café, and Luke's Kitchen, an excellent restaurant for casual eating, are a 10 minute walk away. Centrally located on SH25, this is truly a wonderful place to base yourself to explore all the peninsula has to offer.
