Directions: Chestnut Ridge is only five minutes away from the Te Kauwhata exit off of Highway 1. We are about an hour’s drive south of Auckland and 45 minutes north of Hamilton. We are well-placed for visitors to Hampton Downs racetrack.
About Chestnut Ridge Farmstay
Chestnut Ridge Farmstay is only 1 hour drive south of Auckland airport and a few minutes away from Highway One. It is a 15 drive to Hampton Downs race track and about an hour’s drive from many places of interest such as Coromandel Peninsula, Raglan, Rangiriri Battle site, and Miranda Hot Pools. There are local restaurants for evening meals and/or lunch.
A generous continental breakfast is included in the tariff. The rooms can accommodate 3 people. Each room has heating and electric blankets. Coffee and tea making facilities are available.
Guests are welcome to walk around the property which borders the Whangamarino Wetlands. On the property are cows, calves, sheep and chickens. The garden around the house is well-established and guests are welcome to enjoy its peace and quiet. A local jade (Pounamu) carver has a well-stocked shop with very reasonable prices.
