Villages of Mapua & Ruby Bay are 25 mins from Nelson, 15 minutes from Motueka,
Vintage character meets contemporary comfort with open-plan layout connecting a large deck to enjoy the magnificent view. This place is lightly modernised with large bifold doors and push-touch kitchen cabinets. Otherwise, you'll be picking up the 1970's retro vibe with small bedrooms, minimal wardrobe space and you'll have to make your own ice cubes, with a tray in the freezer. Each bedroom has a hanging space and a set of drawers for your belongings during your stay.
SLEEPS 5, in 1 x Queen size bed, 1 single, 2 singles in bunk bed configuration. Ideal for family holidays.
Your stay will hark back to a simpler time when televisions were small and you twisted the dial on the radio for the local news.
The house is kept clean and comfortable with only a few mod-cons. The modern convenience of Wifi and a chrome cast allows you to stream some TV, but really you'll be staying here for the view. Uninterrupted ocean landscape to the horizon, the Nelson Hills and Ruby Cliff coast.
Kiwiana charm extends to the gravel alfresco dining area complete with the never-ending succession of weeds and self-seeding zinnias. Casual dining with the BBQ in the lower section of the split level outside space that's all yours. This allows shelter from the regular sea breezes. Most summer mornings present a sun-filled deck with the relief of some shade by the late afternoon as the sun creeps around the back of the house to light up the kitchen and lounge seating in the evening.
