There is a 5 metre water wheel (which we built ourselves) near to the house which supplies 'off the grid' electricity and places the water into a remarkable man-made pond, filled with native fish and freshwater crayfish (Koura).
The eco-lodge is surrounded by easy to access walking tracks and remnants of the gold rush in the late 1800's of the valley is in abundance.
