Be spoilt for choice here! The Nelson region is renowned for its arts & crafts, fine orchards, vineyards and superb seafood. And that’s just to start with!

There is the outstanding Able Tasman National Park with its acclaimed walking track and sea kayaking opportunities; the lovely semi alpine village of St. Arnaud, base for the Nelson Lakes National Park and nearby ski fields.

Enjoy the massive expanse of beach at Tahunanui and watch the sun set over the Tasman Mountains.

Nelson itself is perhaps best described as a “Boutique City” with fine shopping and many excellent restaurants. Be sure to see the fantastic Wearable Arts Museum too.

The highly scenic drive over “The Hill” to the township of Takaka and the Golden Bay will definitely reward you. An excursion right out to the lighthouse on Farewell Spit may well be the highlight of your entire trip.

.For something different come and experience the peaceful, serene country surroundings of our unique and romantic bed and breakfast in Tasman, Nelson. Our private boutique bed and breakfast accommodation is a two storey cottage in the shape of a giant boot, furnished especially for two. Located in the heart of the beautiful Tasman region, centrally between the Abel Tasman National Park, Kahurangi National Park and Nelson, a perfect position for exploring the highlights of Tasman Bay.
The Boot is nestled within a grove of hazelnut trees. Outside, the courtyard, surrounded by a fragrant garden, offers sun loungers for relaxing on hot afternoons and an alfresco dining area for spending lazy evenings beside the outdoor fireplace. Inside luxuriate on the comfy couch in front of the open fire, or enjoy an early night in the comfort of the upstairs bedroom. In the morning your choice of breakfast will be delivered to the door.
Our quiet, relaxed bed and breakfast adopts sustainable practices without deterring from the luxury experience that we want all our guests to enjoy. We use organic produce as much as possible, including our own free-range eggs and fresh fruit from the orchard. Guests are welcome to wander the paths of our 2.4 hectare garden during their stay.
The Boot is adjacent to Jester House café with its tame eels, Tasman's first country garden café, offers fresh local food, friendly service and an unforgettable experience.

Choose from one of our two spacious five star self catering cottages. Both cottages have two bedrooms (King and super King beds) a full kitchen, washing machine, BBQ two sun decks. A complimentary breakfast tray is provided in the tarriff.

A friendly Cocker Spaniel, Stella is our resident pet.
