Hunter Farm Home Stay is a 860 acre regeneratiely farmed sheep and beef farm in South Otago. The property has wonderful varying views of the Clutha River and looks into the Blue Mountains, with pockets of native bush where bird life flourishes. Various farm and bush walks can be enjoyed by our guests, or a guided farm tour by your hosts, Graham and Pam Hunter. Fishing, swimming is possible in the Clutha from our property and hunting opportunities.
We welcome you to stay in our Cosy Cabin, situated within our garden close to the homestead, to enjoy a taste of farm life and enjoy our company (enthusiastic, down to earth kiwi farmers). It is not just a night's accommodation but a genuine "kiwi" experience that you probably won't forget quickly. We welcome you to join us in some general farm activities, shifting the sheep, watching the dogs at work and a farm tour. We welcome you to take some refreshing scenic walks on the farm. and to enjoy good hearty meals where lamb will be served with home grown organic veges. Evening meal and farm tour extra. Guests can self cater or have meals provided.
The little historic, cafe town of Lawrence is only 20km away and the only river ferry/punt still functioning in the southern hemisphere is 9 km down the road.
